City of Yonkers The memorial, located in Untermyer Park on North Broadway, is dedicated to the 16 Yonkers Firefighters and 15 Yonkers Police Officers who died in the Line of Duty. Four granite panels flank a seven foot tall angel. The two inner granite panels next to the angel bear the names of the YFD and YPD members who made the ultimate sacrifice. The two outer granite panels bear the names of City of Yonkers residents serving other communities as Firefighters and Police Officers who also made the ultimate sacrifice.
